Yet again, I am immensely proud of all that our students have achieved over the past year.
Our annual show, The Magic of Narnia, was a huge hit with our audiences. We were lucky enough to return to the incredible facilities at Thornden Hall this year. The students had a fantastic time and we managed to raise £1,062 for Abby’s Heroes
In May we participated in North Baddesley Village Day. It was slightly overcast and damp this year but it was still a great community day and our performances were very well received.
Following the initial Hampshire heats, 5 of our students were selected as finalists at the RAD South East Region Awards Day at RAD headquarters in London. The dancers performed their class to an invited audience and were beautiful to watch. Congratulations to Eva for winning the musicality award and Eliza for being runner up in her age group.
Many of our students spent the summer term preparing for RAD ballet exams. Their dedication and perseverance is a credit to them and we were delighted with the results and another 100% pass rate.
We finished the year with our festival team competing at the All England Dance National Finals in Eastbourne. After a year of local dance festivals, we qualified our largest amount of dances so far to this year’s finals and the students poured their heart and soul into the performances. It was so lovely to spend some quality time with the students and their families – and the sun shone on the seaside town!
Have a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing everyone back from 5th September.
